If you are new to our studio, we offer an introductory session for $50. This 45 minute one-on-one session will begin with a physical assessment and posture analysis, and review your physical and medical history. We will also discuss any specific goals that you would like to achieve. The rest of the session will acquaint you with the fundamental concepts and movements of Pilates. You will be moving and experiencing Pilates during this first session.
After your introductory session, an individual program is designed for you. The program created will be stimulating, strengthening, balancing, and most importantly, fun! After 5 to 10 sessions, you will have the option of continuing with one on one sessions, or adding duets, trios and/or mat classes to your program, as appropriate.
Pilates Apparatus — One-on-One Training
All Pilates apparatus sessions are scheduled by appointment. You will begin your program with an introductory session that includes a physical assessment and posture analysis, review of physical and medical history, and discussion of specific goals to be achieved. The instructor then creates an individualized Pilates program based on your needs. The program created will be stimulating, strengthening, balancing, and most importantly, fun!
Pilates Apparatus – Duets and Trios
Duets and trios are offered by appointment. Duets and trios use the reformers, wall units, chairs, and other small apparatus.
If you are interested in forming a duet, or forming or joining a trio, please schedule an initial one-on-one session with one of our experienced instructors who will work with you to develop a program to best meet your individual needs and goals. We generally recommend a minimum of 5 to 10 one-on-one sessions prior to joining a group in order to give you optimum results and a thorough understanding of the Pilates method.
Please call the studio for available duets and trios. We also have a cancellation list for those interested in filling in when a regular duet or trio spot becomes available. We will contact you whenever a spot opens up. If you and a friend or two would like to start your own duet or trio, we will be happy set that up for you.
Pilates Mat Classes
Esprit de Core offers several mat classes each week. These classes focus on teaching the fundamentals and proper technique of the mat work, and also integrate foam rollers, magic circles, Therabands, etc., to further challenge and feel the depth of the mat work. The classes will help you to focus on the mind-body connection, the breath, alignment and awareness.
The mat classes will give you a thorough understanding of the mat exercises to enable you to follow videos with proper form, to do mat work on your own at home or at your gym, and will prepare you if you decide to continue your Pilates work on the apparatus.
The classes are limited to 12 participants. If you are new to Pilates, you and your instructor can discuss your goals, and determine if mat classes are appropriate for you. More experienced clients interested in furthering their knowledge, understanding, and performance can also benefit from mat classes.
