                      Saturday, April 24, 2010 ~ 2:00-4:00 p.m.

         $45 per person/ $80 per couple

This two-hour class on Thai Yoga massage allows you to gain a step by step understanding of the traditional techniques you can use at home to soothe your loved ones’ aches and pains, enhance flexibility and mobilize joints
and tissues in a physically relaxed state.

In fact, because many of the slow stretching movements of Thai Yoga Massage are similar to many yoga poses,
it's become known in the west as "passive Yoga". Think of taking a yoga class where someone else does the work
for you!

Thai massage was first administered to the Buddha over 2,000 years ago and has roots in Ayurvedic medicine.
The work focuses on gentle pressure applied to energy (sen) lines as well as a variety of slow stretching
movements. The combination of these two affect the entire body by increasing flexibility, and releasing both
deep and superficial tension, thus helping the body's natural energy flow more freely.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring one small pillow and one bed-sized pillow. As in yoga, Thai Yoga
Massage is best experienced on an empty stomach. Please arrive a few minutes early to speak to the instructor
about any health-related issues.

Pre-registration is required. To register, sign up online (click on the 'Workshops' tab on the upper right)
or call the studio at 650-948-8020.
Class size is limited to 12 couples; partner is not required - you
can be paired with another solo participant.

About the instructor: Terri van de Sande is a STOTT Pilates Instructor and AFAA Fitness trainer with over 25 years of
experience. She studied Thai Yoga Massage in the US and in South America. She regularly uses Thai Yoga Massage with many
clients to complement their workout sessions.
